Concept

The Sportsco.com Iron Man Fantasy Football Competition will consist of 25 teams per league competing for cash prizes. Each team entry will be randomly grouped unless otherwise requested on the sign up sheet. Each team has twenty (20) individual players and three (3) total team defenses with a (2) player roster expansion available in December (Week 14). Team owners can make all changes to their rosters during the season, via the Internet. Eight (8) offensive and four (4) team defensive categories will be used to create weekly standings which will be available for team owner viewing each Wednesday during the season, or can be received via the U. S. Mail for a nominal fee. There are NO SALARY CAPS to limit player selection since no player is given a salary of any kind. Opening day team selection must be completed by September 7th, 2008 (1:00 PM EST.) 

Pricing Information

All fees listed below are to be paid in US funds.

The team sign-up cost is $9.95 with an optional 2nd team for $1.00 through August 10th. After Aug 10th, the team sign-up cost is $19.95 with an optional 2nd team for $1.00. Transactions are FREE until September 7th, 2008. As of September 8th, 2008 there is a $1.89 transaction fee for all player or team defense switches. Adding a new player or team defense and dropping a current player or team defense is considered one complete transaction and the associated charge will be $1.89.

There is a $10.00 transaction fee for each optional addition of the 21st and 22nd players in December (Week #14) if the individual team owners exercise this option.

All player transactions can be made via the internet only. You will need to provide your account number, password, and the names of the players /position and /or the defensive team you want to add and drop. Sportsco.com Inc. is not responsible for telecommunication failures, which may lead to incorrect or lost transactions. Returned check fee is $25.00. Transactions will be billed to a credit card of each owner’s choice on a monthly basis . Credit cards will be billed when the transaction cost has reached $20.00 or at the end of each month.

Please note that during 'BYE' weeks, on teams that do not select playing defenses (teams on the bye that week), team defense related categories will be awarded defined set stats Sportsco.com for Bye Week Defenses. This is so that the team not picking a playing defense does not get a statistical advantage over the teams that are selection defenses that are competing that week.

Leagues will be formed on a first come first served basis. In all cases 25 teams will form a league. If you and your friends would like to be assigned together in a league or would like your own league please specify this on the sign up sheets or call toll free 1-888-808-8978 and request information. Teams may have many of the same players, but no two teams with the same roster will be in the same league.

Each starting line up will consist of 20 players who can be from any of the 32 professional football teams, and three (3) total team defenses. Each team must have players that qualify in the following positions:

Sportsco.com Inc., as listed in the signup package, has assigned a player’s position, and this selection is final. The positions of players not listed in the package will be assigned based on play during the 2006 season and will remain the same for the remainder of the season. A player can not be added to a team roster until he is available on the Sportsco.com Inc. System.

In each of the twelve (12) categories, teams are ranked from first to last and points are assigned based on these rankings. As an example, in a 25 team league, the team that finishes first in a category earns 25 points, the second place team earns 24 points, and so forth down to the last place team which earns 1 point. This system works for all twelve (12) categories, each of which has equal value. The most points a team, in a 25-team league, can accumulate if it won every category is 300 points. Points are recalculated each week to determine league standings. League standings are calculated by ranking your individual team totals.

For Total Points Allowed and Total Yards Allowed, a smaller number is ranked higher than a larger number. For all other categories, a larger number is ranked higher than the smaller number.

Statistics are accumulated weekly for all 20 players and the 3 team defenses.

The first stat week of the season begins with the games played on Thursday – September 4th, 2008 and ends with the games played on Monday – September 8th, 2008. All other stat weeks begin with games played Tuesday through the following Monday. See The Weekly Transaction Schedule for more information on weekly transaction deadlines.

All statistics accumulated by the players on a team’s roster regardless of what position they were playing during the season contribute to a team’s statistical total.

You begin getting a player’s statistics the first game of the week following the entering of the transaction adding him to your team, provided it was entered before that week’s deadline, and stop getting the statistics of the player you dropped at the same time. None of the previous statistics achieved by the player before he was placed on your team will be added to your team’s statistical totals. But you do keep any stats accumulated by a player you dropped while he was a member of your team.

Pre-Season and Post-Season statistics do not contribute to a team’s statistics totals.

League points are calculated by ranking your team’s statistics totals versus every other team’s statistics in your league.

Grand prize points are calculated by ranking your team’s statistics totals versus every other team’s statistics in all Sportsco.com Managed Leagues. The actual grand prize amount will be confirmed after the first week of the season.

Player transactions can not be made until your team has been entered into the computer database. Teams will be entered within three working days of receipt.

Player transactions must be made by the kickoff of the day of the first game of the week, in order to be effective for that week. See The Weekly Transaction Schedule for more information on weekly transaction deadlines. Once completed, a player transaction is final and can not be changed.

The Grand Prize noted on the main page of the Sportsco.com Fantasy Football Challenge is an example of what the prize would be if the noted amount of leagues were filled with eligible playing teams.That prize is prorated based on how many teams signup to play that season. Any owner can figure out the Grand Prize by going to the overall standings page and multiplying that amount of teams times six dollars ($6.00)(USD). For example, if 100 teams signup, (6x100) the grand prize would be $600.00. Sportsco.com also may raise the Grand Prize based on the total number of transactions during the contest but is not obligated to do so. That said, all league prizes are completely guaranteed and not prorated.

Sportsco.com Inc. reserves the right to suspend report mailings, faxes, and Internet/on line access of accounts that are not paid in full as of the day prior to the report mailing. Delinquent accounts over 30 days will be dropped from the league with the team’s roster frozen at that point. Delinquent accounts will be subject to 1.5% (18% annual) interest charge as well as any and all third party collection charges. Collection procedures could involve nationwide credit reporting and listing and possible legal proceedings.

Prizes only will be awarded to teams whose accounts are paid in full.

Prize winners will be formally notified the week of January 11th, 2008. Winners of $200.00 or more will be asked to sign an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release within 10 days of notification. These forms must be completed and returned in order to receive prizes. Prizes will be awarded the week of January 20th, 2008. Winners are responsible for any and all taxes on their prizes.

If the 2008 football season does not start as planned, the contest will begin after 70% of the players who were on a Professional Team Roster as of September 7th, 2008 are playing. In the event of a work stoppage during the season and no football is played, this contest will be suspended at the beginning of the strike/lock-out and will continue once the labor action end and play resumes. The end of the contest will coincide with the end of the 2008 football season. If the remainder of the season is not played, prizes will be prorated and awarded based on the standings as of the start date of the work stoppage. If a work stoppage occurs additional information will be published and mailed to all team owners.

No employees of Sportsco.com Inc. or their families are eligible to play.

Sportsco.com Inc. is solely responsible for enacting, administering, enforcing the rules and maintaining the integrity of the football challenge. All decisions of Sportsco.com Inc. are final.

Sportsco.com Inc. reserves the right to revise any rules to improve this football contest.

All sales are final. Payment for individual teams can be made via American Express, Master Card, Visa, Personal Check, or Money Order.

By entering this contest, you acknowledge having read the rules and accept them.

Team account must be paid in full to be eligible for the all prizes. In the event of a tie the cash prizes for the tied positions will be added together and divided evenly among the team owners that have tied.
